Steven M. Buha

Steven M Buha is a partner of Girard Bengali, APC. Mr. Buha’s practice focuses primarily on securities litigation and general civil litigation matters. He represents clients throughout California in state and federal court and in arbitration before FINRA, AAA and JAMS.

Mr. Buha focuses his practice on representing institutional and individual investors, along with securities professionals in litigation matters. Mr. Buha’s securities practice involves handling customer disputes and regulatory matters involving issues of fraud, suitability, unauthorized trading and failure to supervise, among others.

Outside of the securities industry, Mr. Buha has represented a major online real estate auctioneer, a national mortgage loan servicer, real estate agents, insurance agents, attorneys and accountants in professional liability actions, general business disputes and regulatory matters. He has handled all aspects of case management, including oral argument, settlement negotiations, and taking and defending depositions. In June 2017, Mr. Buha secured a full defense judgment and an award of attorneys’ fees for his client after a bench trial in a residential unlawful detainer proceeding, in which the purchaser of Mr. Buha’s client’s rental unit attempted to improperly force Mr. Buha’s client out of his home.

Mr. Buha graduated cum laude from Loyola Law School in 2010, ranking in the top 10 percent of his class as a member of the Dean’s Honor List.
